Introducing, It’s Always Something

At the age of 21, I sat down to write a novel. At 22, I threw it away. I realized I had nothing useful to say. I had to live first, write about it later.

At age 80, I sat down again to write a novel. Within a few years, I’d written three. Now I’m writing a fourth. I’ve got a lot to say. More than I can include in books.

So, this is Vol. 1, No. 1 of “It’s Always Something.” Every month or more often I’ll write about politics and the personal drama inside campaigns that most people never see (from my involvement in more than 200 campaigns), the good, bad and ugly of the media (from my years as a journalist) and books, including a deep dive into “My Summer As Suicide Saunders” my fourth novel, (which I hope you will help me write).

I hope you will find “It’s Always Something” worth your time. If not, just click the unsubscribe button. No hard feelings. My goal is to inform and entertain, not add to your clutter.
